Esther L. Wheeler, 93, of Mason City passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017, at the IOOF Home in Mason City.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 125 E. State St., Mason City, Iowa, with the Rev. Ron Stein officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
The family would like to extend their greatest thanks to the IOOF Home and their wonderful staff for the care of Esther during her time there.
Esther is survived by her son-in-law Randy Garcia of Mason City; grandchildren, Jim Wheeler of Pleasant Hill, Ron (Joleen) Wheeler of Mason City, Amelia (Jeff) Tiedt of Clear Lake, Dan Wheeler of Altoona, Travis Best of Burchinal, and Bobbie Anderson of Mason City; close nephews Dale and John Eppens, as well as many other nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents, Bert and Eva (Overturf) Clausen; children, Kenneth Wheeler and Nancy Garcia; granddaughter, Rhonda Best; and sister, Ruth Eppens.
