Phyllis A. Heise, age 90, of Wells, MN, died Monday, April 15, 2019 surrounded by her family, at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN. A private family service will be held Saturday, at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN with Pastor Michael Mathews officiating, followed by burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Easton, MN.
Phyllis was born September 20, 1928 near Jackson, MN, the daughter of Ludvig and Lillie (Bartels) Raasch. She was a registered nurse and worked in Rochester, MN, Cincinnati, OH, and Mankato, MN. She was united in marriage to Harold Heise, October 12, 1955 in Jackson, MN. They had 2 children Steven and Cathy. They lived in Minnesota Lake, MN for 11 years before moving to Wells in 1966. Phyllis was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Easton, MN. She participated in Mission Circle and taught Sunday school and adult bible classes. She was an American Red Cross nurse volunteer, and a lifetime member of the Kahler Alumni Nurses. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, watching birds and reading.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold; grandson David Krogstad in infancy, and brother Lowell Raasch.
She is survived by her children: Steven (Rita) Heise of Maple Grove, MN and Cathy (Craig) Krogstad of Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren: Chad Heise of Seattle, WA, Nicholas Heise of Paris, France; Matthew (Liz) Krogstad of Oak Forest, IL, Emily Krogstad (fiancé Farai Mudzingwa) of Cape Town, South Africa, and Molly Krogstad of Westminster, CO; sister-in-law Betty Raasch of Cyrus, MN; along with many nieces and nephews.
