Roylene Dyer was born in Kaufman County and lived all her life in the Mabank area. She was the daughter of Roy Junius and Vada Alene Sapp Smith. Roylene married Billy Wayne Dyer on 19 June 1969 in Odom, Texas and had four children, Billy Roy, Tracy Dyer Rush, Russell, Adam, eleven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She had two sisters, Lorette Smith Rogillio and Teresa Smith Owens.

She graduated from Mabank High School in 1969 and attended Trinity Valley to be come a beautician. She was married to Billy nearly 50 years lacking only seven weeks. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ at Mabank.

Roylene was a devoted wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was an outstanding Christian, selfless, caring, hospitable and a worker in the Lord's service. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her, including her loving family and many lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Shelley Dawn Haley.
