Frederick Dietzel Jr, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday October 17th at The Brandywine Living at Governors Crossing in Englishtown, NJ.

Born in Union City, to Frederick A. Dietzel & Elizabeth (Staub) Dietzel, Frederick was raised and lived his entire life in Secaucus, NJ.

He worked for NJ Transit for 45 years as a Mechanic before retiring in 1992. He belonged to the Elks Lodge in Secaucus, and the Free Masons Lodge of Secaucus, Lyndhurst, and Livingston, NJ.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 32 years, his 2 daughters Irene Lippolis of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Debbie Schmelz of Secaucus, NJ, and his two stepchildren Linda Perotti of Manalapan, NJ, and Paul Stanton of Virginia Beach, VA.

He was loved by his 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 21st from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 22nd at 9:30am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 1219 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ, 07094. Burial will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Clifton, NJ.
