Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Clontz, 85, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late William Burgin and Leona Ellen Penland Fore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Clontz, who died in 2005; one sister, Lucille Allen; and three brothers, Fred, Mac and Tom Fore. Lib was employed by Robertson Memorial YMCA for many years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved flowers and spending time and being with her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Janice Clontz of Canton; two sons, William Clontz (Kathleen), of Athens, Tennessee and Fred Clontz (Rene) of Whittier; four grandchildren, Renee, Jackie, Eric and Becky; and seven great-grandchildren, Cameron, Taylor, MiKayle, Madison, Hunter, Brayden and Landon.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens.
