Uncle Wayne - I have a lifetime of fond memories of you. When I was a child, we always spent Christmas at our grandparents home in Fouke because Pappaw's birthday was Christmas Eve. I remember when you, aunt JoAnn and Chuck would come in from south Texas the whole atmosphere would change! Every year, daddy would get you and uncle Monty a box of shotgun shells for Christmas and I always got to wrap them. I didn't realize then just how lucky we all were to have all of you in our lives. We would make home-made ice cream in the front yard under the big shade tree and pitch silver dollars, I thought everyone did that! When I was about ten, there was a big nest of red wasps by Mammaw's bathroom window and I was attacked....I remember you coming to my rescue by taking the chewing tobacco out of your mouth and putting it on my arm! It really did work. You had a way of making everyone feel special. After you retired and moved back to Texarkana, you started having fish fry's at your house and we were always invited. Thanks for teaching my kids to pitch silver dollars too but, most of all thank you for loving us all unconditionally. You are as good as it gets, a man who loves his family and would do anything for them. We are so blessed to have had you in our lives. God Bless Chuck and his family, I am praying for all of you now and in the days to come.
