L. Cox and L. C. Smith went to Chippewa Falls Tuesday to meet friends from Vernon.
Mr. Cox and Mr. Smith each brought up from Chippewa Falls a load of household goods for N. Elmendorf and Wm. Guist who are moving to Fern from Manning, Wis.

Saturday, Oct. 3, a small twister passed through the western part of the settlement, doing considerable damage. The house and barn of Moses Elmendorf were both unroofed and his bee hives badly demoralized. Much timber was broken off and uprooted in the track of the storm throughout the town.

LADYSMITH NEWS BUDGET, Friday, July 29, 1910: Sheldon - Obituary - Moses L Elmendorf died Monday, July 24, at the home of his son Arthur three miles west of Sheldon. Mr. Elmendorf had been in his usual health and his death was without warning. He was among the oldest settlers in this vicinity and was in his 78th year at the time of his death. He was formerly a resident of the Kickapoo valley. Funeral services were held fro the school house in Sheldon Wednesday at 3 p.m. Rev. Chas. Sanders of the Congregational Church in Ladysmith officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Scott of Chippewa Falls came Tuesday to attend the funeral of her father, M T. Elmendorf.
