Margaret M. Zach, 83, of rural Genoa, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey with Father James F. Novotny and Father Patrick A. McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Humphrey. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. Scripture service and 9-10 a.m. Monday, all at the church.

Margaret was born June 20, 1933, the daughter of Ralph and Eleanor (Foltz) Eisenmenger, at Humphrey.

She graduated from St. Francis High School, Class of 1951, and Commercial School of Commerce in Omaha, receiving a secretarial degree.

On May 1, 1952, Margaret and Erwin A. Zach were united in marriage at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey. She was a homemaker and farmed with Erwin in the St. Mary's community and in 1968 they moved to their farm south of Lindsay and celebrated 64 years together. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking, playing cards and family activities.

Surviving are her husband, Erwin; children, Cathi and Larry Beiermann of Columbus, Lyle and Kim Zach of Elkhorn, Thomas Zach of Wichita, Kansas, Mary Classen of Humphrey and fiancé Paul Wietfeld, Brenda and Terry Eller of Shelby, Edward and Tawny Zach of Cortland, Ann and Kelly Thieman of Randolph and Roy Zach of Genoa; daughter-in-law, Loree Zach of Madison; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Leona Hastreiter, Dorothy Shanle, Alice Labenz, Phyllis Albright, Elaine and Virgil Chochon, Mary Lou and Harry Nienaber, Helen and Ferd Weidner, Paul and Jodie Eisenmenger, David and Karen Eisenmenger, Ervin and Elaine Eisenmenger and Larry and Mary Beth Eisenmenger; and sister-in-law, Elaine Eisenmenger.

Preceding in death were her parents; son, Mark; son-in-law, Ron Classen; and brother, Leonard Eisenmenger.
