Geraldine Elizebeth Whitaker, of Tuttle, OK, passed away January 19, 2019 at the age of 78. She was born May 15, 1940, in Waldron Community, Grady County, Oklahoma, to Jay Bee Rose & Hattie Ola Cox-Rose.
Geraldine enjoyed horseback riding and she trained horses for barrel racing. She was an avid painter, Quilter and seamstress. Geraldine had sold some of her quilts on Ebay. She also made crib size baby quilts and gave them away as gifts. She was also a Chihuahua breeder for many years and at one point had 160 Chihuahuas.
Geraldine is survived by her husband, Bobby Whitaker, Sr.; her daughter, Trela Wishon; 6 sisters, Joyce Sanders, Vivian Poole & husband, Ben, Linda Whitaker & husband, Dale, Virgie Hamilton, Geleta Hickman, and Loreta Rose; 3 brothers, Leon Rose & wife, Monnie, Darrel Rose & wife, Sandra, and Kenneth Rose; daughter-in-law, Evanrose Whitaker; 3 grandchildren, Rusty Miller, Leanda Marvin and Darrin Whitaker; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Bobby Wayne Whitaker, Jr.; her parents, J.B. & Hattie Ola Rose; and in-laws, Joe & Lola Whitaker.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 25, 2019 at Lynlee Mae Chapel, 507 E Main Street, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Wanette Cemetery, Wanette, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.
