Virginia Boyd was the daughter of John Judson and Lulu T. Boyd and the granddaughter of Thomas P. and Ann Eliza Webb Beasley.

Virginia Boyd had one brother, George Thomas Boyd who was born in Navarro County, Texas. Her father, John Judson Boyd, died on February 27, 1885 and was buried in Bright Cemetery in Navarro County, Texas. Lula T. Boyd's father, Thomas P. Beasley, was living with the family according to the U. S. Census of 1900.

Jesse Frederic Beavers was in Nienda, Texas learning the business of running a cotton gin when he met Virginia Boyd. They were married on September 19, 1909 in Nienda. They were the parents of four children, Olen Conroe, Tom Watson, Mary Lou and Winnie Fred Beavers.

Virginia A. Beavers died on January 25, 1919 due to the Spanish flu epidemic of 1918 - 1919, which killed over 600,000 nationwide. She was buried in the Nienda Cemetery and her headstone has long disappeared due to age and lack of care and no one has a cemetery map to help in determining where she was buried.
