Jacoby, was a graduate of Ranger High School and Ranger Junior College and attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville. She married Leonard Watson and had one son, Leonard Leo Watson, Jr. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger.
Clara Mae had two brothers, Mellenger Max Jacoby, Douglas Fairbanks Jacoby; and three sisters, Claudine Jacoby Dyer, Laverne Jacoby, and Maxine Jacoby Asher.
