Bessie Earline "Bet" Aiken, 72,
of 512 Norris Hwy.,
died Wednesday, June 12, 1996.

Born in Spartanburg County,
she was a daughter of the late John Emmons and Ruth Connor Tapp.
She was retired from J. P. Stevens in Clemson.

Surviving are her
husband, Glupker Aiken of the home;
sons, Ronnie Aiken of Central and James Aiken of Florida;
a sister, Mary Alice Mann of Greenville;
brothers, James Reginald Tapp, Sr. of Central and Leroy Tapp of McIntosh, FL;
7 grandchildren;
6 great-grandchildren.

Services were 2 p.m. Friday
at Cateechee Baptist Church
by the Revs. Garland Sentell, Paul Hayes and Furman McClain.

Burial in Memory Gardens in Clemson.

Liberty Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
