Lyle J. Davis, 97, passed away Nov. 4, 2018 in Chubbuck Idaho.
Lyle was born April 6, 1921 near Preston, Idaho to Heber G. Davis and Laura Jensen Davis. The family moved to Jerome Idaho and later to Alameda (Pocatello) Idaho where he met and married Ruth Lenore Haddenham Prescott. Together they raised Ruth’s children Lenore, Donald and Dixie.
He worked for Kraft Foods for 40 years until his retirement. After retirement, Lyle spent his weekdays at Wayne’s Salvage helping his nephew Craig Davis. On weekends, sometimes weekdays, you could see Lyle’s fishing pole in hand, heading for a favorite fishing hole.
Lyle was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers Glen, Don, Keith, Clyde, Kemmer, Laverne, Myron, Reo and Wayne, and his sisters Lila, Nola and Nona. He is survived by step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Yoko (Kemmer), Charlene (Wayne) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S 5th Ave, Pocatello, Idaho on Tuesday, November 13, at 2:00 pm.
