Sept 25, 2018 - Good morning all; today is an especially good day for our beloved friend Sandi Pichon as she left us this morning at 3 AM to be with Jesus.. Sandi fought a long and valiant fight against a glioblastoma brain tumor following surgery in April of 2015; she lost the battle but she won the war. She is survived by her son, George Randall Jones, a brother, Tim Haynes and a host of Elvis friends around the world.Sandi's love and live and a love for Elvis carried her for many days when she was tired. She spent a lifetime making friends around the world and sharing her Elvis stories and I know that she would be pleased to think that each of you will remember her and carry your own special memories of her.Sandi was so appreciative of the many visits, cards, notes and gifts sent to her thru her long illness and her room in the hospice hospital were indicative of these many things, making it a happy room for her to be in as she could see these things daily and appreciated your kindness and your thoughts of her. Truly, she was blessed with so many caring friends and you will never know the joy that each and every one of you brought to her life.In order to allow people from out of town to be able to attend her memorial service, it will be held on Saturday morning, October 6, 2018,at 11 AM at the Collierville Christian Church, where she was a member. The church is located at 707 New Byhalia Road, Collierville. TN 38017.A reception will be held following the service in fellowship hall and the internment will be held in Hornbeek, TN, following the reception. It is requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hornlake Animal Hospital, Hornlake, MS, in Thanksgiving for the life of Sandi Pichon.GOD BLESS nd TLCSept 26, 2018 - Sweet Sandi Pichon passed away yesterday morning after a long and valiant fight with a glioblastoma brain tumor....Heaven has gained a true angel. Sandi met Elvis originally in 1956 at the Audobon Drive house in Memphis, TN where she lived at the time. Later, when Elvis made the first of 7 appearances at the Mid-South Coliseum from 1974-1976, she became a friend to Elvis & most of the rest of the group. She was Sonny's "go to" person during the years when he was doing the "An Evening With Sonny West" one-man appearances where he spoke of his time with Elvis. I say all of that to say this.....Sandi will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Sandi was a very sweet and precious lady.Oct 6, 2018 - Today at 11 AM, a beautiful memorial service was held at Collierville Christian Church in Collierville , TN by Dr Ron Buck and Rev. Morgan Parks. This service was truly a celebration of Sandi's life with Rev Parks speaking so eloquently about remembrences of her life and Dr Buck giving a beautiful eulogy about her life. The music, the beautiful flowers and those in attendance truly celebrated her life is a way befitting this beautiful Christian lady.Following the service, a reception in Fellowship Hall was hosted by Marlowe's who provided their famous barbeque spaghetti, salad, coleslaw, green beans and a variety of desserts. During the reception, video's were shown of Sandi's life, all accompanied by Elvis music. This entire celebration was indeed, a true celebration for a lady who was loved by many and will be missed by many.Rest In Peace, Sandi; you will not be forgotten.
