Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy “Patti” Martin will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Kinder, with Reverend Mike Paxton officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center, TX.
Mrs. Martin, 79, of Kinder, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was a devoted Christian and loving mother and grandmother who was affectionately known as NaNa. She enjoyed reading, going to concerts and watching football, especially cheering on her Kinder Yellow Jackets and Texas Longhorns. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Dessie Ballard and her husband, Jerry W. Martin.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Matthew Martin (Anne), of Kinder and Michael “Sparky” Martin (Holly), of Vilonia, AR.; four grandchildren, Neal Martin (Stacey), of Kinder, Nikki Galloway (Lance), of Kinder, Sarah Martin and Aaron Martin, of Vilonia, AR.; three great grandchildren, Hunter Martin, Adalyn Galloway and Gage Galloway and several beloved cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at at Rush Funeral Home, Kinder, on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. until time of departure for the church.
Pallbearers honored to serve are: Matt Martin, Michael Martin, Neal Martin, Lance Galloway, Aaron Martin and Johnny Sonnier. Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Martin.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
