Mary Elaine Bevins Pfeiffer

Louisville - The Spirit of Mary Elaine Bevins Pfeiffer, 86, wife of Hans "Jack" Benjamin, was released from her body on September 30, 2018 to spend joyful eternity with God, her childhood family and beloved friends that preceded her.

Mary was born June 11, 1932 in Knoxville, TN. the daughter of the late Raymond & Sherley Smith Bevins. She attended U of L and retired as Assistant VP, Assistant to the Chairman at Bank of Louisville. Mary was previously assistant to the Senior Rabbi at the Temple.

Besides her husband of 28 years she leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Shirley Lauterbach (Steve), Judith Pfeiffer Haas (Dan) and Holly Powell (Chuck), four grandchildren, Christopher, Kara, Matthew and Benjamin. She is also survived by great grandchildren and grandcats.

A service celebrating Mary's life will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Rd. Visitation will be from 4:30 pm til 7:00 pm at the funeral home on Wednesday.

The family has suggested in lieu of flowers memorials to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
