Daughter of Edwin Ralph and Marion Hellon Gerner Strong. Sister of Etta Lorene, Tessibel Maude, Marian Rose, Francis Steven, Robert Calvin, Earl Madison, and Charles Raymond Strong. Married George William Bigham. They had 4 children, Stephen Lynn, David Van, Mark Eric and Dolores Diane Bigham. She later married James Durkin of Leavenworth, KS. Fern was a hard working woman who always put God and her family first. The greatest gift she ever gave me was her son Steve. He was my husband and she was my mother in law. It was very hard on her when Steve died before her.
