Helen “Sue” Price, died August 6, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. Survived by: daughters, Kathy Price, Nancy Price, and Elizabeth Bentley; Sister: Patricia Blackard; Step-Mother: Cathalene Mosby; Nephews: Mike Nichols, Pete Nichols, David Nichols. Sue was born in Muskogee, OK and raised in Sallisaw, OK in 1924 to Hazel and Mose Blackard. When Sue was 14 she moved to Tulsa with her mom and beloved step-father, Woody Sawyer. After completing high school in 1941 at Will Rogers, Sue attended business college in OKC. She then worked as an administrative assistant for Lowry McKee, Atty/CPA for 20 years. Sue married Hal Price in 1967 who worshiped and adored her. Hal and Sue traveled extensively attending annual barber shop quartet competitions in the USA. Sue was an avid college sports enthusiast (OU football, NCAA basketball). Sue will be remembered for her compassion, generosity, grace, and style.
A memorial service will take place at the Montereau Chapel at 11:30am on Friday, August 10. Memorial Contributions may be sent to St. Johns Hospice or the charity of your choice.
