Don Elwood Koster, 85, an 80-year resident of Alvin, Texas passed away April 26, 2007. He was born February 22, 1922 in Goose Creek, Texas to Arthur J. and Ruth (Campbell) Koster. Don served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corp. in WWII. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Alvin. At one time he was the Director of Transportation at Alvin ISD. He worked in the transportation department of Alvin ISD from 1959 to 1984 when he retired. Don enjoyed spending most of his time restoring cars, especially the Model-T Ford. He was a member of the Model-T Ford Club of America and the Christian Men's Fellowship.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Frankie Koster.
Don is survived by his sons, Don Koster II and his wife Elizabeth of Alvin, Texas and Frank Koster and his wife Martha of Friendswood, Texas; sister, Hazel Buelow of Alvin, Texas; brother, Charles Koster and wife Peggy of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Jared, Mike, Jeff and Katy; and great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Lauren, Makayla and Mason.
Services were entrusted to Jeter Memorial Funeral Home of Freindswood, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Frankie Koster.
