Gwendolyn E. Walp, 90, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2018.
Born on March 4, 1928, in Weissport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur C. and Margie (Clay) Kern.
Gwen was a gentle and kind woman, devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in DuBois.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Vincent D. Walp; two daughters, Robin Kressley of Treasure Lake, PA, Kerry Henry and her husband Dan of Southlake, TX; daughter in law, Dawn Walp of Saylorsburg, PA, and seven grandchildren, Shawn Kressley and his wife Kelli and Ryan Kressley, Jarred Walp and his wife Colleen, Carissa Baldino and her husband Russell and Logan, Brook, and Carys Henry.
She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Walp, and her sister, Beverly Jean David.
There will be no public visitation and a private celebration of life service will be held from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Robert Newell officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
