A funeral service for Erma will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Belton Church Of Christ with Tommy Bever officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Friendship, Tx.
Erma was born on June 25, 1921 in Holland, Texas to Quinton and Julia (Reaves) Cryer. She was raised in Milam County where she attended school in Val Verde. She worked as a clerk at Schigutt's Department Store and Cochran Blair and Potts in Belton. She married L.W. Locklin on May 14, 1938 in Milam County and he preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Locklin was a longtime devoted member of the Belton Church of Christ.
Erma was preceded in death by her husband, sons Loyd Locklin, Ronnie Locklin, and Jerry Locklin, and daughter Marsha Swenson. She is survived by her son James Locklin of Belton, daughter Ann Locklin of Belton, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BCPAAA, re: Belton Police Benevolent Fund, 711 E. 2nd Street, Belton, Tx. 76513, or to Friendship Cemetery Association, PO Box 8823, Horseshoe Bay, Tx. 78657.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
