Robert “Bob” Overturf, 86, of Centralia, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2018 at Fireside Nursing Home in Centralia with his daughters by his side.

Bob was born August 12, 1931 to Troy and Ollie (Martin) Overturf in Centralia. On February 4, 1952, Bob Married Jacqueline Horst in Centralia, IL and four children were born of this union.

On January 9, 1998, Bob married Agnes (Daniels) VanNatta in Murphysboro, TN and they shared 19 loving years of marriage before she preceded him in death on January 4, 2018.

Bob is survived by his loving children, Kim Booth and husband Randy of Rolla, MO, Roberta Bowen of Sandoval, and Bob Overturf Jr. of Centralia; caring step-children, Randy VanNatta and wife Valeda of Nashville, Pam Morton and husband Jim of Iuka, Joel VanNatta and wife Roberta of Central City, Rod VanNatta and wife Barb of Wamac, Sandy Martin and husband Jim of Salem, Shelly Lyons and husband Ron of Walnut Hill; precious grandchildren, Amber, Lauren, Jenna, Amy, Aislinn, Tiffany, Megan, Lindsey, Courtney, Brandi; 19 cherished great-grandchildren; 3 beloved great-greatgrandchildren; host of step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren; devoted sister, Betty Jackson; special cousin, Dot Cromwell; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by both his parents, Troy and Ollie Overturf; son, Terry Overturf; son-in-law, Randy Bowen; his step-children, Raymond VanNatta and Vernon VanNatta; step-grandson, Gary Gene VanNatta.-

Mr. Overturf proudly enlisted at the young age of 14 and served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. He continued to be a member of the Centralia American Legion Post 446.

Bob was a faithful member of the Zion United Church of Christ. He was a true outdoorsman, who loved camping all across the country, crappie fishing, and birdwatching; especially eagles. His love of the outdoors showed in his passion to volunteer for Wild Life Work.

Bob was a member of the Moose and loved to share a dance with his wife Agnes. In his spare time, you could find Bob playing chess with his grandson Josh or traveling the country roads. He loved spending time with his family and his role as Grandpa O.

Celebration of life services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Brother Wayne Tate officiating. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Military rites being accorded by the Centralia VFW Post 2055 American Legion Post 446.

Family and friends are welcome to visiting hours on the evening of Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to funeral services on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions in Bob’s honor can be made to Zion United Church of Christ or Six Lemons.
