Betty A. Allen, age 54 of Orlando passed away on June 3, 2011 in Orlando, FL. She was born in Davidson County, Nashville,TN. She was born to Hugh Ledford and Melva Allen. Betty graduated from Bristol Tennessee High School in 1975 in the top one percent of her class. She graduated from King College in Bristol, Tennessee with a B.S. in Biology in 1979 and completed the requirements for a Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee in 1983. She joined the Navy as a 1st Lt. after her graduation from King College and upon receiving M.D. she was stationed in Norfolk Virginia and was transferred to Orlando Florida where she completed her time with the Navy.
She chose to remain in Orlando and continue her work as a Pathologist.
She is survived by her son Sean Allen Cheek; sister, Brenda Tittle , Niece and nephew Nikki Tittle Mann, Chad Allen Tittle, and great nieces and nephews are Tabitha Mann, Tia Tittle, Summer Haskins, Kaitlin Tittle, Harley Worley, Dillon Tittle, and Dalton Tittle, extended family and loving friends.
