Mr. Garner died Wednesday at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born June 1 1 , 1900, in Fisher County. He married Pauline Jenkins Dec. 23, 1933, in Merkel. She died Oct. 16, 1972. Mr. Garner was a retired rancher. He had lived in Andrews 14 years coming from Kent; He had worked for Reynolds Cattle Co. for 42 years. Survivors include a daughter, Dreu Carruth of Andrews; a sister, Mary Carney of Abilene; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Singleton Funeral Home was in charge of Andrews arrangements.
