Delivered by a midwife, on a farm in Lewisville, Virginia, to William Angus and Alice Campbell, Barbara was born on April 18th, 1921, and passed away at Sharp, Chula Vista, on May 17th, 2018. Barbara served six years in the United States Marine Corps as a staff sergeant at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, North Carolina Once a Marine Always a Marine Semper Fidelis. She served 35 years as a civil servant stationed at the MCRD San Diego. She then owned VIP Travel for 17 years. She was a proud member of VFW Post 3788, American Legion Post 731, and the Women Marine Association. She was predeceased by loving husband Daniel T. and her daughter Denise Komlenic. She is survived by her three sons, Daniel T. Jr. and wife Barbara Komlenic, Douglas A. and wife Cindy Komlenic, and Daryl R. Komlenic and wife Diana Lee; Five grandchildren, Doug Jr, Dustin, Daniela, Dylan, and Darby; Three great grandchildren, Derek, Alyson, and Haley; and lifelong friends Betty Turner, Doty Canty, and Mary Bellon. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery. A service will be held on Friday, May 25th, 2018 at Clairemont Mortuary (4266 Mt. Abernathy Ave, San Diego CA 92117) at 3pm.
