George Joseph Foehrer Jr., 82, of Danville, passed away Monday March 19, 2018. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm Monday March 26, 2018 at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams in Danville. Funeral Service will be at 10am Tuesday March 27 at Pape’s with Pastor Doug Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery.

George was born November 19, 1935 in Danville to George and Elizabeth (Emery) Foehrer Sr. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired in 2001 from the Danville V.A. Hospital, and retired in 2015 from Landmark Credit Union. He loved music, and was in the same band for over 50 years. He enjoyed painting, woodworking and fixing cars. He was a member of Masonic Anchor Lodge 980 and was a Shriner.

George married Pam Boswell in 1995, she survives. Also surviving are his children: Jerry (Donna) Foehrer, Dawn (Wayne) Jenkins, Karen (Kevin) Sweat, Cindy (Mike) Esworthy, Mike (Debbie) Foehrer, Wayne Foehrer, Scott Orvis, Jamie Gooch (Al Foote), and a special adopted son Bruce Shepard; sister Barbara Dinsmore; 23 Grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

George is preceded in death by his parents; first wife Sondra; daughter Toni Shepphard; sister Betty Frahm; and 1 great-granddaughter.
