The following article was published in the Lockport Union Sun and Journal on April 1, 1939:
"Frederic R. Wheeler, a former resident of Lockport died recently at his home in Redwood City, Cal., according to word received by Lockport friends.
Mr. Wheeler was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederic Wheeler. His mother was a daughter of the late Willard Daniels, one of Lockport's former prominent residents.
For several years Mr. Wheeler operated a fruit farm on the Wheeler Road in the town of Lockport.
He is survived by a wife and daughter in Redwood City, a sister Mrs. Caroline Williams, Morristown N.J., and an aunt Mrs. Lucy Mack, Lockport."
