Wendell Stream, age 89 of Woodward, IA passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at his home in Woodward. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Woodward United Methodist Church in Woodward. Burial was in the Violet Hill Cemetery at Perry, IA.

Wendell Ward Stream was born on May 10, 1928 at Des Moines, IA to Ward Robert and Florence Mae (Brown) Stream. He graduated from Churdan High School in 1945, attended Iowa State University in the late 40's and later in life he received an AA Degree from NIACC. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Joanne Harrison in August of 1956 and she passed away on June 11, 1959. He then was united in marriage to Donna Rae Lee at the Methodist Church in Perry, IA on March 12, 1961. He worked at the Iowa State Patrol for 29 years from 1953 to 1982, taught at the Law Enforcement Academy at Camp Dodge in Johnston, IA and taught Motor Vehicle Law at NIACC for several years. Following retirement, he was employed by Beacon Computer in Mason City, IA and did computer upkeep and repairs for various school districts. He farmed with his dad when needed.
He attended the Woodward United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Peace Officers Retirement and the Woodward American Legion.
In death he rejoins his parents, Ward and Florence Stream, first wife, Carolyn, parents-in-law, David and Vera Lee and Paul and Mildred Harrison.
Left to cherish Wendell’s memory are his wife Donna Stream, Woodward, IA, son, Douglas Kyle (Debra) Stream of Belgrade, MT, two daughters, JoLisa Lee (Shawn) Miles of Urbandale, IA and Tresa Ann (Brad) Dietrich of Kensett, IA, grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler Miles of Urbandale, IA, Kyla Miles, West Des Moines, IA and Anna and Emme Dietrich, Kensett, IA, sister Gwen (Jim) Wolter, brother-in-law, Larry (Helen) Harrison of Stone Mountain, GA, nieces and nephews, Jone (Terry) Johnson of Iowa City, IA, Clint (Mel) McDonald of Logan, IA, Chad (Marilee) McDonald of Elkhart, IA and Kurt Harrison of Stone Mountain, GA and several great nieces and nephews.
