Rogers graduated with the Wellington High School Class of 1950.
He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Burleson. Rogers was a Mason, Shriner, master carpenter, talented artist and loved to hunt and fish.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 66 years, Mary Ann Melton; son, Kenneth Rogers Melton and wife, Linda Beth Melton; daughters, Tommi Ann Mitchell and husband, Kenny Wayne Mitchell, Teresa Kay Binney and husband, Roger Binney; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
