Ray Maxwell, 66, of Putnam Texas passed away after a long fought battle of kidney disease on February 14, 2018 in the comforts of his home surrounded by family and friends.
Ray was born on February 8, 1952 in Ranger TX to Rufus Roland and Fannie Irene Ma x-well, and on May 10, 1973 he married the love of his life, Judy Maxwell. Together they raised three wonderful children, Andy, Belinda, and Joseph. To know Ray was to LOVE Ray. He was the most caring thoughtful man. His love was unconditional, and he was accepting of everybody. He truly had a servant’s heart. Ray also had a passion for the oilfield, and there wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix, but he could break stuff. He knew all the backroads and the town secrets, but no worries he took them with him. He always had the most optimistic outlook on life. No matter how gloomy times were he never complained and kept his witty sense of humor. Ray Maxwell never met a stranger and touched every life he came across.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his dear sister Dixie Parten. He is survived by his wife Judy Maxwell of the home. Children Andy Maxwell (Diane) of Eastland, Belinda Halliburton (Justin) of Baird, and Joseph Maxwell of Weatherford. Grandchildren, Andrea, Drew, Jake, Aaron, Jennifer, Jessica, Joe, Jessica Nash. Great Grandchildren, Orr yn, Ember, Jay ton, Trevon, Bryson, and Jayden. And Multiple nieces and nephews that were very dear to him.
Services are scheduled for 1:00PM, Saturday February 17, 2018 at Chambers Funeral Home in Cisco Texas.
