Joel Thomas Arnold, son of Claude Arnold Jr. and Lou Helen Craddock Arnold (Duke), was killed in an airboat accident on Lake Jessup, December 28, 2014, at approximately 7:15 pm. outside of Orlando, Florida. He was born January 23, 1961, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his father, Claude, stepfather, Alton F. Duke, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Harold Craddock Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Claude Arnold Sr., an uncle, Thomas Harold Craddock Jr. and aunts, Emma Jean Carter and Carmella Robinson as well as cousin Jennifer Craddock Murphy.

Survivors include mother, Lou Helen Duke, sister, Claudia Arnold Stocking and husband Joel along with niece and nephew, Emma Dunn and Jonathan Stocking, 3 great nephews; his special friend, Victoria Lee Cruz, an uncle, Mack H. Craddock, an aunt, Ester Mae Eastwood, and many cousins.

Joel T., as his friends call him, is a graduate of Henderson County High School (1979) and the University of Kentucky (1984) where he earned a mining and civil engineering degree and his P.E. He worked for several companies before starting his own company, Atj Consulting, LLC , in Orlando, Florida. His personality was bigger than life as he never met a stranger. He always had a story to share! Many which included meeting the Shaq, Bon Jovi, and John Elway & most accidental and unaware of their fame. As a Shriner, he spent time fundraising for their causes and he was an avid Harley-Davis rider, sometimes combining the two together! His "hog" was UK blue!

Joey will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial service will be held Friday, January 09, 2015 at 1 PM at the Loomis Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Where upon he will be taken back to his home in Henderson, Kentucky, for burial.
