Eleanor Elizabeth Gilstrap Ockerman, 92, of Anderson, SC passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at her home.

Born April 5, 1925, in Pickens, SC, she was a daughter of the late Roy Bolt Gilstrap and the late Mary Ann Fortune Gilstrap. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar William Ockerman and brothers, Roy Bolt “RB” Gilstrap Jr., Johnny Gilstrap and James Gilstrap.

She was a homemaker and had worked at Anderson Memorial Hospital many years ago. She enjoyed crafts, but especially loved to cook and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Lindler (Ray) of Chapin, SC; three grandchildren, Melissa Ann Clark, Michelle Renee Jones and Gregory William Lindler (Carlee); seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2:00 pm Sunday with Rev. Ray Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
