Ted was a volunteer in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam where he was an aircraft cargo handler. He was also a Load Master when he served in Germany.
He was an accomplished artist and master of heraldry where he created many beautiful works of art. At one time, he managed the Lewiston Heraldry Store in Lewiston, New York. In 1994, he moved to Florida where he also had a business dealing with heraldry. He was a Scott through and through, and saying that he was "Scottish and proud" would be an understatement!
At the time of his death, Ted held the rank of Major in the Civil Air Patrol, serving in the CAP Venice Cadet Squadron. We knew him in the Niagara Falls Squadron where he was very active. He was always very interested in the welfare of the cadets and tried to mentor them in any way he could.
Ted was a life member of VFW Post 8118, serving as an effective liaison between that and the CAP squadron in Venice and helped keep the Veterans in Venice recognized and remembered. He also assisted the VFW in their support of youth programs.
Rest in peace in "Scottish Heaven", Ted. You will be missed by everyone whose lives you touched. You patriot spirit is unmatched. You have earned your rest...
