Harold T. Stewart, 92, of Kent, died Sunday, December 24, 2017, at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna.

He was born January 19, 1925 in Akron to Vinus and Myrtle (Mowen) Stewart. Mr. Stewart graduated from Kent Theodore Roosevelt High School and Kent State University. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during World War II. Following Mr. Stewart's military service he was employed by Goodyear Aerospace until his retirement. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kent and was also a member of the Grand Lodge F. & A.M. of Ohio, Reckon Lodge No. 316, Kent, Ohio.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his son, Thomas (Aurora) Stewart of Ravenna (Rootstown), daughters Peggy (David) Kurtz of Kent, Pamela Carpenter of Massillon and Donnette (Robert) Goodnight of Massillon; grandchildren, Jodi, Jeff, Jason, Ian, Kyle, Ebonie, Jarrod, Devin, Shane; great grandchildren, Aaron, Austin, Aubrey, Jeffrey, Ethan, Kingston, Jackson, Deacon, Bayleigh, Chance. He was preceded in death by his wife Velma (Russell) Stewart, and wife, Ruth (Carpenter) Stewart, and was also preceded in death by two sisters: Leona Bowland and Vivian McElhiney.

Calling hours will be held 10:00-11:00 AM preceding the funeral Friday, December 29 at the United Methodist Church of Kent 1435 E. Main Street Kent. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 29 at the United Methodist Church of Kent with Rev. Douglas Denton officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Standing Rock Cemetery.
