late Bishop O.B. and Ruby Mae Brintley. Bruce peacefully
transitioned on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. In addition to his parents,
Bruce was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy M. Beasley, his
nephew, Travis I. Beasley and his father-in-law, William J. Brooks.
Bruce was a beloved and devoted husband, father, and
grandfather, who enjoyed playing the drums, singing and praising
the Lord. As a child, he attended Bethlehem Temple Holiness
Church. He was attending Refuge Church of Troutman, NC under
the leadership of Pastor Gerry Clarke, at the time of his death. He
was a construction worker and truck driver for many years. Bruce
was a strong man that let nothing stop him. Bruce was a walking
miracle. No matter how he felt or how his day was going, he had a
smile on his face. He never met a stranger. He was known at dialysis
as a gentle giant. Bruce was a man that always encouraged others, he
always lent a helping hand. His grandchildren remember him as a
strong, gentle man, who cared for them, watched over them and
protected them. They always went to him for advice; even when he
said "no", he had their best interest at heart.
