Richard Waugh Irvine, 90, formerly of York, died at his residence on November 1, 2017. He was the husband of JoAnn Dee (Gotwalt) Irvine with whom he observed their 64th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2017.

Born August 31, 1927 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he was the son of the late Richard and Ann Jane (Waugh) Irvine.

Richard graduated from Belfast College in 1950 with a degree in Engineering. On May 12, 1951 Richard arrived at Ellis Island from Belfast, Northern Ireland on the Queen Mary. He paved the way to U.S. Citizenship for his family.

He retired as Executive Vice President from C.B. Ives and Company in King of Prussia.

Richard was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, a member of Zeredatha Lodge #451 F. & A.M., member and past president of the Instrument Society of America and served as a former member of the Central York School Board.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by three sons, Craig Irvine of Rotonda West, FL, Cavan Irvine and his wife, Joy of York, and William Irvine of York; two daughters, Maureen Petruccio and her husband, John of Yardley, PA and Jane Irvine of Venice, FL; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Drager of MD; and a brother, William Irvine of Utah.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 311 Haines Road, York, with the Rev. Greg Seckman, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church, followed by a Masonic Service at 10:45 a.m.
