(March 25, 1878 - April 19, 1971)
Mary Susan (Cress) Moman, my namesake GrandMary as I call her, was an amazing woman, mother & grandmother. She came from Kentucky in a covered wagon with her parents, John Henderson Cress & Louisa Minerva (Morelock) Cress & siblings.
She married Phillip Edwin "Doll" Moman & they raised nine children. Florence Lenore, John Dewey (Dude), Myrtle Elsie, George Edwin, Boyd William (Bill), Ray Clarence, Helen Audrey, Jack B., & Lila May.
She loved iris's & had a yard full! In the summer she would mark them for people who wanted a start, then dig the rhizomes up for them. She was a very generous lady.
"A ray of sunshine came and went. A beautiful treasure only lent.
A prayer, a tear, a memory so dear. Each day of our lives, we
wish you were here."
