Harry Pearce, a "bright little fellow" and "a favorite of all who knew him," died at age five. James Henry G Pearce was probably the youngest child of John Williams Pearce and Lucy Ann Heayn Pearce.

For some reason he is not listed on the penciled records of birth that are tucked into the family Bible. Perhaps he was not yet born when these records were made as a replacement for the missing Births page.

Spreadsheet, records of Richland Cemetery housed at McKeesport Heritage Center. This child appears to be listed twice:

Pearce, J H, record 262, buried May 12, 1891
Pierce, J H, record 262, buried May 12, 1891

Obituary, McKeesport Daily News, May 13, 1891, p 1. This obituary indicates burial at Versailles Cemetery. It seems likely that the newspaper erred. However, it is also possible that little Harry was later transferred to Richland, with his original date of burial retained in Richland's records. If spreadsheet record numbers represent the chronological order of burial, then Harry Pearce (record 262), who died in May 1891, was buried at Richland before his brother Nicholas (record 289), who died in 1888 and was buried at Richland in November 1891.
