Retired Cisco Grocer Dies
Cisco, Mar. 29 - Arthur Allen Robert Watson, 83, retired grocer, died at his home here at 5 o'clock Tuesday morning. He had been in failing health for several months.
Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the family residence, 504 F Avenue. The Rev. Otis Strickland, First Baptist Church pastor, and the Rev. Stuart Mac Rohre, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will conduct the service.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Cisco under direction of Thomas Funeral Home.
Mr. Watson had been a Cisco resident about 20 years, coming here from Gustine, Tex. He was born in Alabama Nov. 8, 1865.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Allen Robert of Stamford and James Odessa of Sweetwater; three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Mancill of Cisco, Mrs. Tom Poe of Amarillo and Mrs. Bill Owens of Rising Star; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Fred Watson of Cisco; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hugh of Stephenville and Hunter of Matador; three sisters, Mrs. Belle Triplett of Plainview, Mrs. Alice Mastin of Fort Worth, and Mrs. Emma Menefee of Arlington.
