Hazel was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she enjoyed driving the van for Senior trips.
She retired from Kings Mountain High School where she was the custodian and Auditorium Supervisor. Hazel loved working in her rose garden and was an avid cook. However, her favorite activity was spending time with her granddaughters and taking them shopping, and going to Belk was her favorite place to shop.
In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, James Singleton; three brothers, Thurman Beaty, Carl Beaty, and Junior Beaty; and two sisters, Lib Thomas and Arlee Lail.
Hazel is survived by her son, a sister, two granddaughters.
Funeral service will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
