Mary Margaret Gonzales Kolb was born on June 10, 1933 – she went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Graveside service to be held Friday, August 4, 2017 - Ft. Sam Houston - Pavilion 3 - 10:30 a.m.
She is survived and loved by her husband of 61 years, Richard Lynn Kolb, Children Patricia Grace Bates, Mary Catherine Haskin Taylor (Douglas) Howard Charles Kolb (Chrissie). Grandchildren Kristin Solis (Anthony), Shannon Phillips (Carl) Katelyn Cobb (Chris) Hannah Haskin, Hunter Haskin. Peyton Kolb, Jordan Kolb, Emily Kolb, Great Grandchildren Nicholas Solis, Emma Solis, Abigail Phillips, Gurson Phillips, McKenzie Cobb, Keely Cobb, Easton Kolb-Contreras. Sisters, Tonie Geckler, Gloria Frye-Sutphin (Larry) Angelita Sexton, Brother Mike Gonzales (Millie).
She was wonderful, kind, giving, loving, and forgiving. We share the memory of “Margie” so that we may acknowledge both our joy in the gift that her life was to us, and the pain that her passing brings. In sharing this joy and pain together, we pray that time lessens the pain and we remember more clearly the joy she brought to all of our lives.
Margie was 84 years of age when she passed away. It was hard to say goodbye. We wish that we had more time, and perhaps that during the time that we did have, we would have spent it together. We wish that so much of her life had not been lost to her illness. While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness. But even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love for her family and perseverance. The ways she touched our lives will remain and we ask that you keep those memories alive by sharing them with one another.
