Dorothy “Dottie” Bailey, 93, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Baytown. She was born May 13, 1924 in Richards, Texas to her late parents, Walter Charles Lund, Sr. and Mabel Cooper Lund.
Dottie had lived in Baytown for more than 74 years, was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church and had worked for Humble Oil before starting her family. Her husband, Bob Bailey, also worked for Humble Oil for many years and his job allowed the family to enjoy living in many places throughout Southeast Asia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Charles Bailey and a sister, Bette Jean Nelson.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Bailey; daughters, Karen Harrison and her husband, David and Debbie Marshall; daughter-in-law, Becky Bailey; brother, Walter Charles Lund, Jr.; grandchildren, Jay Morrison and his wife, Jackie, Spring delPino and her husband, Eddie, Chad Morrison and his wife, Kelli, Lance Marshall, Ryan Marshall and Kyle Bailey and his wife, Grace; great-grandchildren, Jared Morrison, Izzy Morrison, Sophie Morrison, Aidan delPino and Andrew delPino; great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Morrison and Jareth Morrison and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Navarre Funeral Home followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. E. Richard Steel officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
Pallbearers will be Jay Morrison, Chad Morrison, Lance Marshall, Ryan Marshall, Kyle Bailey and Eddie delPino.
