She is preceded in death by her husband, Charley Rayford Pittman. They met and fell in love while he was stationed near her hometown in England during World War II. After the war was over she came to America where they were happily married for 57 years. She became a US Citizen March 22, 1960. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
