Patricia Welch Ownes Stevens, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 4, 2005 in Provo Utah. she was born on May 23, 1954, the fourth daughter and fourth child of Lynn Ray and Carol Haderlie Welch in Afton.

Trish enjoyed a happy childhood growing up on the family farm in Smoot where she learned the value of a full day's work. Her love of animals began as she milked cows and showed many of them at several Lincoln County Fairs, where she collected trophies as well as ribbons of every color. She reigned as the Queen of this fair during the summer of 1971. Trish graduated from Star Valley High School and Seminary in 1972.

Trish moved to Utah, where she met and married Gary Ray Owens on November 22, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple. To this union three children were born; Casey Ray, Robyn Lynn, and Heather Ownes.

In April of 1987, she was joined with her soul mate, LaRon Stevens. They were sealed in the Provo Temple. Trish worked in labor and delivery at Utah Valley Hospital for seven years. she also worked as a bus driver for the Alpine School District for 20 years.

Trish was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she willingly served in many capacities. she especially enjoyed service as Ward Relief Society President and frequent Temple worship.

Trish is survived by her husband, LaRon of Lindon; three children; and two grandchildren, Casey, Katie, Ashlyn and Tyler Ownes, Robyn and Heather Owens, all residing in Salt Lake City. She is also survived by her mother, Carol Welsh Allred of Smoot and five sisters, two brothers, Carolynn Westenskow SLC; Connie Day, Smoot; Judy Kay Frome
Maryland; Lawrence Welch Logan; Lorene Welch Pocatello; Scott Welch Oklahoma; Shelly Jensen Smoot. She was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Ray Welch.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9th at 11:30 a.m. in the Lindon Eleventh Ward, Lindon Utah. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
