Robert LeaMond Tune was the son of Robert William Tune and his second wife Aletha Mae Stafford Tune of Ovilla, Ellis County, Texas. I'm uncertain how Daddy got the nickname "Hooker", but it likely had something to do with fishing or his baseball pitching.

Y-DNA testing done in June 2017 has now shown a match with a descendant of the Toone family from Belton, Leicestershire County, England & a son of our father Robert LeaMond Tune & wife Betty Clark Tune.

LeaMond married Betty Lou Clark of Waxahachie on October 23, 1945 in Red Oak, Texas. They had two daughters, Gloria Jeanne and Lou Ann and two sons, Robert Clark and Robert LeaMond Jr., all of Ovilla.

He served in World War II as a Seaman 1st Class in the U. S. Navy.

LeaMond worked with his father as a barber and then went on to work for Ling-Temco-Vought in the designing department. He left LTV and later began his own business, Tune's Trophies located in Ovilla. He and and his wife ran a successful business designing and building sports trophies for many years.

He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed life and loved to go fishing at any given moment. He was a great baseball player, had an offer from a minor league, which he turned down to be with his family. He taught me to play baseball as well as any of the local boys in Ovilla.
