Joseph M. O'Boyle, 74, of Hancock, N.Y., passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005. at home. He was born July 6, 1930 in Starlight, Pa., son of Michael & Agnes (Connor) O'Boyle. He was a Mailman for the U.S. Postal Service, Hancock, N.Y. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, American Legion, Former Bowler in the Couples League, former member of Murray Hollow Hunting Club and the Tomar Mt. Gun Club. He was an avid sports fan and fisherman and he was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. He was first married to Carmella Senia who predeceased him in 1964, and then to Patricia J. Elmore on April 22, 1978 in Hancock, N.Y. He is survived by wife, Patricia O'Boyle , Hancock, N.Y.; daughter, Theresa and Greg Allen, Starlight, Pa.; son-in-law, Frank Seely, Hancock, N.Y.; stepdaughters, Cheryl and Michael Makowski, Hancock, N.Y., Regina and Gail Wrighter, Binghamton, N.Y., Vicky and Ted Cuvelier, Binghamton, N.Y., Laurie and Dana Ellis, Binghamton, N.Y., Marlene Tuttle, Windsor, N.Y.; stepson, Rick Charles, S.I., Binghamton, N.Y.; two sisters, Agnes Gales, Starlight, Pa., Jean Makowski, Buffalo, N.Y.; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Amy O'Boyle; grandchildren, Greg and Joseph Allen, Anthony and Carmella Seely; one great-grandchild, Tyler Joseph Allen; 14 step grandchildren; 12 step great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews He was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Seely, on January 31, 2005; and a brother, Jack O'Boyle in 2004.
