Donald Atkinson Moore, 81, of Wilmington, NC, was born in Fork, SC, September 12, 1925, son of the late Robert Seaborn Moore and Annie Atkinson Moore.
He was an Army-Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in England as an Air Traffic Controller. He attended the University of Miami and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was the Treasurer-Manager of Wilmington Electric Company, and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He was a "Rocking Chair VIP" and past board member of Hanover Seaside Club, and a member of the "VIP Table" at Chris's Restaurant as well. Mr. Moore was a long-time member of the Wilmington Lions Club.
