Charlotte was age 7 in the 1860 Morgan, Decatur, Iowa census with William H. & Eliza Moore, both age 33. Ann was age 15; Levi, 13; Lutitia?, 11; Miles, 10; Mary, 8; Arabella, 5; Douglas, 3; & Thomas, 1.

This family resided in Marion, Mercer, Missouri in the 1870 census. Adolphus was age 23; Miles, 19; Mary, 18; Charlotte, 16; Arabella, 14; Howard, 7; Delpha, 9; Sarah, 8; Ida, 4; & Virgil, 2.

Charlotte was with her first husband, James G. Sprague, (b. ca. 1841 IL) in the 1875 and the 1880 Sherman, Leavenworth, Kansas census reports. Ida Sprague was born in or about 1873 and Howard was born in 1875.

A death date and burial location for James G. Sprague have not yet been found.

Lottie Sprague and her son, Howard, age 10, resided with Charles C. Spencer and his son, Frank, age 10, in the 1885 Sherman, Leavenworth, Kansas state census. Charles & Lottie were married in the 1895 state census, same location. Frank Spencer and Howard Sprague were both age 19 and Nannie Spencer was age 6.

Lottie was with her husband in a number of Leavenworth County, Kansas census reports. Both the 1900 and 1910 census reports record her as the mother of 3, all living. She is recorded as a widow in the 1940 Linwood, Leavenworth, Kansas census, residing with her son, Howard W. Sprague.

The Social Security Applications and Claims Index records the parents of Nan or Nancy (nee Spencer) Haunstein as Charles Spencer and Charlotte Moore.
