Garland married Mabel Collart 1924 in Colorado. He married Mildred Cartlich February 18, 1937 in Clark County, Washington.

Funeral for Garland G. Pittman will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Ridgefield Community United Methodist Church. He died Wednesday of causes related to age in a Vancouver hospital. He was 87.

Mr. Pittman was born in Gorman, Texas, on Jan. 12, 1902, and had lived in Ridgefield the last 43 years. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Pittman had been secretary-treasurer for the Pioneer Irrigation Association, a past master of the Ridgefield Masonic Lodge and a member of the Ridgefield Community United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving Mr. Pittman are his wife, Mildred A. of Ridgefield; daughters, Barbara Dascomb of Vancouver, Linda Nelson of Honolulu and Joann Hays of Long Beach, Calif.; brothers, Murl and Ardith, both of Gorman; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Oregonian, Friday, January 20, 1989
