She was born June 5, 1923 to Milo C. and Bessie Sample Poe in Potwin. She was reared in Butler County and lived in Oklahoma for many years. She returned to El Dorado in 1995. She attended the Christian Church in Potwin. During World War II she worked in the aircraft industry, in the defense plant and continued to work there for several years. She was married to Albert Ted Yaryan. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Survivors include: step-sons, Bob Yaryan of Oklahoma City and DeWayne Yaryan of South Carolina; a sister, Elinor Anderson of El Dorado and several nieces and nephews.
